Cam belt kit AGU

Hi all

Finally getting my AGU block ready to go in my golf and I'm looking to pick up a complete timing belt kit in the sales.

I see GSF do a kit with tensioner for half price (£70ish) has anyone used this kit. They don't mention the brand any more just "Premium"

Or can any one recommend other kits. I will also be looking for a water pump and new oil pick up pipe and dump sealant.

AGU block has been sitting for 3 years now but turns freely and I have just removed the oil.

Last time I bought a genuine kit from Audi it was £98 inc vat with the water pump , worth the extra in my opinion .
Bought a genuine pick up last week funnily enough again from Audi , only £12 !
The sump sealant is dear at £23 but NEVER leaks like RTV can .

Was that with the hydro tensioner also?

No , I went to a manual one on that occasion .
And will do when I do my S3

Ah thanks I have not seen the manual parts in the UK. Only kits from the USA

In your opinion is it worth going manual?

The engine is going to be stock other than running a K04.

if i go hybrid later is will involve rods also so would replace it all again then but not any time soon

Fully manual maybe not but the kit in the link is worth doing as the tensioner damper is a complete *** to work with if you need to...

Does anyone supply a kit in the UK?

I am sure Bill will do the IE kit.
