Has anyone come across an automatic CVT failure (juddering etc) at 138, 000 miles?
My recently bought used Audi A4 2.4 6V Auto from 2003 has started to judder when cold from start, on hill when stopped etc.
From all I've now read this normally / only / etc happens around the 70k mileage mark
Thanks,
Marc

All I can suggest is a fluid and filter change. Do you know if the gearbox has the six plate or seven plate clutch, there was a recall, might be an idea to call Audi and see if you have a recall outstanding for this.

What history do you have?Seems much depends on proper care being taken for these to last .Mines a tiptronic but still had the ATF change at 110k .
