Retrofìting vanity lights

My very best regards to a3 car holders!!!! My car is a 2009 A3 sb facelift (5/2009). I wonder whether I can retrofit vanity lights. Does anyone have coding and wiring instructions? I guess that it will be something similar to puddle lights but what about the coding through vagcom?
