The S4 has a timing chain so no cam belt to worry about.
From what I can gather in the 6 weeks or so that I have had the car there are only two issues known:
1 - Auxilliary Radiators (there are two, 1 behind each fog light) they leak - happened to mine now fixed under warranty
2 - Timing chain rattle - requires replacement idel roller (I think) - not a big problem and only happens on the very early S4's apparently.
Apart from that they are OK.
