I feel some what the same. My wife's car is a mk7 gti. So if we are out and about in the country we take it out.

The S4 is like nothing I've ever owned. Family car. B road fun stuff. Commuter car. I'm currently cracking 30mpg most days on the way to work. Is it as fun as an M3? No idea never driven one though I suspect it's less likely to try to kill me based on nothing but a hunch.
