B9 illuminated exterior handles on B8

So.. Has anyone looked into/tried/done this yet?

Upon a quick glance they appear to look the same dimensions and only operating difference is the B9 handles pull up instead of out but are mounted externally in the same way?

Search attempted but nothing found.

Same here.

I've had a look at both handles whilst removed from the car and there are differences with the mounting bracket but from my understanding the handles can be removed from the bracket. Just a curiosity more than anything to see if they could be blended together to mount to the B8 door but still operate as they do on the B9 and have the led lights too.

i should imagine it would be do-able, would have to wire it in to the same control module as the coming home lights etc. dont know if the b9 handles themselfs would be able to fit without trying though
