Hi all, just a couple of quick questions really, I've just bought an Audi A3 1.9 TDi and I'm loving it. I'm not sure how much bhp it has, apparently it has either 110 or 130, is there any way I can tell which one it is without getting it dyno'd? It's on a '51' plate if that's any help :S
Either way I want to get the ECU remapped for some extra power, does anyone know how much extra bhp I'd expect to get and if there are any good places that do this near Nottingham?

Thanks a lot!

These days you can go as mad with diesel tuning as you can with petrol engines. New turbo's, FMIC's, remap's, air filters, exhausts etc. are becoming more and more common. You've just got to be ready to accept the bags of black smoke that comes with said tuning! I'm led to believe some specialist compnies are in the process of developing particulate filters for diesel exhausts to minimise the smog though. If you Google "uk diesel tuning" you'll get over 1.2 million sites to peruse!

Hope this helps

Rich

not sure about nottingham but the closest one i know of to there would be jabbasport http://www.jabbasport.com/vehicle_search.asp its in peterborough,

as far as you not knowing what your power is there should be a sticker in either your service book or the inner of your spare wheel well on there a figure n KW is what your looking for, 225bhp = 165KW SO 110 should be roughly 80KW 130 is probably 95ish.

Thanks a lot for all the feedback everyone, you've all been very helpful.
The sticker in the front of the service book says 96KW so I guess I've got the 130bhp model (I had a feeling it was 130 even though the guy who sold me it said it was 110) :D
I'll give that place in peterborough a call and hopefully get another 35bhp - thanks again!

Be careful with a standard clutch, they will slip with too much torque.

Any other mods that you guys (and girls) can recommend for me to get large bhp gains for relatively little cash?
I heard that it might be worth me getting the boost pressure tweaked?

Look on the REVO website for your nearest REVO dealer, there are a couple of good places in Nottingham or failing that if you fancy a trip across to us in Lincoln we would be glad to help.
