Greetings,
Today while my 2004 Audi a3 8p 2.0 Tdi BKD was getting its oil changed, i noticed all the turbo pipe connections were oily, and one of them close to the turbo was oilier than others. I asked the mechanic what was that all about, and he told me the rubber gromets had gone bad and i should change them, but that would be a waste because the turbo is bad and it should go in for repairs. Now my question is is he right? is the turbo going bad? I haven't noticed any changes in how the engine works. It runs perfectly fine. Even did a VCDS run and made a few graphs and they looked alright (don't have the graphs but i will upload a .csv file if someone could double check that it would be much appreaciated). I'm obviously going to be changing the rubbers, but Is the turbo actually getting bad ?
