Fog Lamp Switch being an A**hat

So for some strange reason every time I switch my Dip beam on and sometimes when I place sides on my Front fogs will come on. However if I put pressure on the switch they will go off.

tried taking the switch out to check the connections everything is in and solid.

took fuse out as temporary fix.

Any ideas Guys?

try cleaning the insides with contact cleaner (you can fully open them up by prying the front fascia off to reveal the PCB) otherwise new/2ndhand headlight switch

So it has to be the guts of the switch itself then?

Not necessarily the innards, check the outer part of the switch. There are small plastic clips that hold it in place in the dash. These can break off and get stuck in the mechanism so when you twist to turn on the sidelights, the broken bit of plastic forces the switch out slightly putting on the front fogs. I had this with mine.
