I was washing my car today and my two sons were helping me. One of them must have used wheel sponge on the door. Noticed this after the car dried up. Used wax and than demon shine on it and its much better now. Still stand out badly.

t really show how bad it really looks.

I would imagine so. Would try with a fine polish using a MF sponge or other applicator by hand. If that doesnt work you could step up to a DA with a soft pad and the fine polish, and then move up polish grade and pads as you need.

Would be surprised if a quick rub with a fine polish doesnt get it out though. Had a similar looking scuff on my old black A5 down by the wheel arch (imagine it was scuffed by someone at a car park). Quick pass by hand with the polish and it was gone :)

The woman across the road from me showed me a scuff on her car yesterday like that, she didn't think it would come out as it's been there for ages and through loads of washes. I put a small amount of Ultimate Compound on a microfibre cloth and gave it a rub in small circles, in less than 30 seconds the scuff was gone! She was well pleased :)

This is the stuff http://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-cleaning/shampoo-polish-wax/meguiars-ultimate-compound-450ml

It's also good for clear bird poo scabs on your paint and any other little blemishes, scratches etc. on the car. I've used it with a DA to remove swirls and scratches on the bonnet...very easy and SAFE to use.

They have a 3 for 2 offer on at the moment, so a couple of ideas that I use with good results:

This is good stuff between BIG waxes and you can also use it as a lube for claying http://www.halfords.com/motoring/ca...cts/meguiars-gold-class-premium-quik-detailer

I used this yesterday http://www.halfords.com/motoring/ca...iling-products/farecla-g3-body-prep-clay-mitt

This is after just using the clay mitt yesterday: http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/what-a-difference-a-clay-makes.277410/

Good luck and let us know how you get on....just don't panic ;)
