And if anyone needs any service part numbers or costs....heres what it cost me.

Love the audi website prices.

£455 for a cambelt change
£599 for a cambelt and water pump change.

Water pump costs £34.81 with the VAT and its 3x10mm bolts when the cambelt is off. How a dealer can justify £144 for this is extortionate.

Total of my parts £155.11 with 2x Bottles of G13 coolant. That leaves a whopping £443.89 in labour alone!!!!

Nice job there Chris. Saved yourself a fair bit of money and the satisfaction on jobs like that is always brilliant.
 
Of course.

Cambelt, waterpump and 'major' service from audi is knocking over £800. Yet ive managed to do the work for £200-225.

Granted I dont have a nice fancy audi stamp in my service book or it entered into their records, Its the same job for a fraction of the cost. Receipts are there for the parts and a mileage and date wrote on the top of them. Just as good, if not better, than a stamp in my service book in my opinion.

Plus you cant beat the satisfaction for the work done, even if it was 1/2 a saturday in october.

Trups sorted me my interior bulbs out. Number plates were already LED. All I've changed is the interior lights (which is a huge difference), led indicators, led reverse lights, and ice white fog light bulbs.

1 year ago today (23rd April) I put a deposit down on my car....what better way to treat it to a decent clean...

Started off with removing the wheels and attacking the wheel arches one by one. plenty of dirt and grime in there, especially the fronts so a bit of citrus magic cleaner and a brush later we get somewhere.

All the wheels were cleaned on the insides. They were pretty clean to begin with, but a proper clean over made sure they were spotless.

Washed the outside and a quick spray of SCMist to help aid the ceramic coating.







Oil change service due next as its been 6 months since it was last done and I like to keep on top of it, especially with having a DPF.

Pretty sure it might want a thermostat too. Temperature can occasionally drop below 90 on cooler mornings or take a pretty long time to warm up. So will probably have to be unloaded with many English pounds for a replacement one as seems to be integrated into a fancy plastic housing of some kind.

Service last weekend and rear pads to go in sometime soon, once I get the wheels off to check the pad thickness.

Also had a bit bother with the EGR, light would come on and car would limp, Fixed with a ignition cycle but still a pain in the rear and a bit dangerous on busy roads as the car was warming up.
Blanked the EGR off on the side of the head and that threw a EML for insufficient flow, but it stopped the limp mode.

So got round to sending my ECU off down to Ben @ Devil Developments for some tweakery to map the EGR out and give it a few extra ponies. Due back tomorrow so be interesting to get it in the car and see what its like.

 
Arrived back today and no more EGR lights as duty is now 0% in the map and the map is pretty awesome too from Devil Developments.

Ben @ Devilish Developments did it for me.

Ive known Ben a long time and know his work is top notch so was the guy for me to get my ECU sorted. I just sent it down and he flashed it and sent it back.

Heard a lot of bad press about them, so wouldnt be on my recommend list.

Not really sure who there is up here who would have the knowledge of our engine. Definitely no custom lads im aware of. I just posted mine down, was back the next day.
 
Mate works in a garage so he just got hold of their kit for the day.

Theres only the crank one thats special due to it holding onto the teeth on the gear. can probably use a drill bit for the other ones that need lockng
