Central locking query

help needed please .

I had the dreaded broken hinge on the Audi, so I removed the glove box to fix. Ever since its been out. I sometimes get key fib central locking none responsive. So I need to lock with key. But can come back to the car later in the day and it works of the remote. It's intermittent

When I use the key to lock it, it locks all doors. But when I unlock with the key it sets the alarm off unit I put key in ignition

Any idea guys?

Have you tried remote control clearing then remote control matching? http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Audi_A4_(8E)_Comfort_System

Mine has to be matched any time the battery has been dis connected.

Yep vcds needed. Can use the map (on this site), to search for your nearest member with it.

Yep that's right, note this part on the link: The 8E/8H platform Audi A4 is noted for losing remote control synchronization after low voltage conditions as explained in several TSBs.
