Decided to take the plunge last week and ordered my first ever Audi.

I ordered an A3 Sportback S line Navigation 1.4 TFSI cylinder on demand 150 PS S tronic in Daytona Grey and it's also my first Automatic :yahoo:

Here are the options I added:

  • Comfort Pack
  • Tech Pack
  • Through Load Facility
  • Folding/electrically adjusted and heated mirrors
  • Acoustic Parking System Plus Front/rear
  • High Beam assist
  • Hold Assist
Can't wait to join the Audi club :racer:

That sounds fantastic. Any idea on collection date?

The build week is 16 so best guess is mid May... I had tried to add a further option but my build was already locked within the first week so I couldn't

I have been told I can cancel it and re-order but that would delay delivery considerably as they cannot book a new car into the system right now :anguished:

I test drove one and feel in love so I am certain I will not be :friendly wink:. I hadn't considered a Automatic at the time but it was all the dealership had and once I gave it a go I didn't look back.

You've managed to get one with all the essential options so you'll be best to just stick with that one

Nice one, bet your looking forward to it, the waiting time for delivery can be a real pain but sure it will pass soon, then enjoy your ride .

Morning mate. Similar spec to what I've ordered. Out of interest when did you place your order? I've also been given build week 16 by the dealer, albeit provisional, but my orders still not locked. I placed my order with Coventry on 7th Feb.

Congrats on your order Gaz, Daytona is an awesome colour :)

My oder was placed on the 28th of Feb and I was told my build was locked on the 5th Feb (although it may have been closed earlier). I wasn't too happy as I felt I still had a little more time if I decided to make changes, which I did. Locking the build, 6 weeks before seems a little early to me.

Is the Auto Glym package worth purchasing? If not what are the alternatives n the after market?

Better to go to a proper detailer and get a sealant from Gtechniq or similar. There are a few options and the detailer will also polish it so it looks great.

I've had this before on both my Golf 7 GTi's....not worth the money imho as it didn't protect the paint at all, your better off spending your money at your local detailer who specialises in this and discussing your options there....mine used CarPro CQUARTZ [UK] Ceramic

Don't let your dealer touch your car apart from to PDI it. Pick it up with all the tape and protective stuff on it and either do it yourself, with recommendations from here (CarPro UK CQUARTZ) or get a pro detailer to get it looking top notch.
Welcome along and great colour and spec.

Thanks guys... I will look into local detailers and cancel the AutoGlym. what should I be asking for? First time I will have a car worthy of detailing :racer:

As above. Plan it for just after you collect her. Ask on here for recommendations close by where you live. Expect to pay upwards of £300-£400. It is worth the outlay.
