downpipe question

Hi all, ive had the dpf gutted and mapped all well had it like this for a while. Im going to be changing the map to a stage 2 custom. and they want me to get all the exhaust done first which is no problem. Anyway my question is will there be any difference or atleast noticeable difference between a gutted dpf and a striaght pipe??? please no comments about mots as im fine for them a friend does it me. cheers
