What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

So after getting the bloke to smash a socket on to the rouge locking nut, this flashed up when I drove away, cleared on the next RE start and has popped up today. When I did my spacers all liked fine, any ideas?

Looks like a pad wear indicator has worn through. Just coincidence.....

I would still check for a fault but this happened to me just after I bought the car. It would come and go and then stayed on permanently.....even though I had 3/4 of the pads remaining.

Attempted to polish my car with da. Only did bonnet and have never done it before. Lookin at the paint I figured it would be impossible to make it worse. Which was correct as it is vastly improved now with minimal scratches(the deep ones left).

Rolled front arches slightly to stop rubbing on larger bumps round corners.

Dropped the beast off for an Audi health check prior to the warranty running g out, and get a free clean too, well nothing is free when they find some work....

Picked the avant up this morning from the wheel specialist, had a wheel straightened and then full refurb in black chrome on the rest. New drilled and grooved disks going on all round tomorrow and then it's off to the paint shop

As much as I want to get them on....Goodridge didn't put the banjo bolts in with the hoses.

Hopefully they will be here tomorrow.

that's a bummer carl......i'd be having words with them about that cockup straight away....

good on yer carl, I hope you really gave someone a right old ear bending.....

No pictures of my swirly paint sorry! Can't seem to get a photo that actually captures it, and I did try!
Bought some chemical guys stuff to try over the weekend, from clean and shiny uk, very helpful guys.

And fitted a b6 flip up lighter and rs4 gear knob retrimmed in alcantara as well as a retrimmed gear gaiter, also alcantara.

Well I've done zippo, nada , absolutely nothing to the old bus today , except, take it out for a nice old run in the countryside and came back with a big grin, oh I just love my old bus and when its works, it works so very well, its so planted on the road and really does go like mucky stuff of a shovel .....one of the few cars that really does make my day, well when its behaving itself that is..lol

and not forgetting those big red chaps on the front , they are just , well brill.....and i'm still grining now...

so you glad you stuck with the brembo's then Rob just think you nearly gave up on them

like most things in my world chaps, if at first things don't work out , just think about giving up, then try again and if it doesn't work that time then just forget it all.....lol

do it, no trying, just get it done, no matter how long it takes to do, if i want it to work it will lmao

Evening All,

Got the car back from Audi Plymouth. Got a free was and Vac, and the details.

Brake pads and discs 15% worn, so must be a sensor. The light didn't come back on, so I'll have a skeg tomorrow.

Red items:

Rear brake hoses worn
Near side head lamp loose???? is it bolted in?
Under tray has some missing bolts, can these be purchased?
Heat shield loose.
Air filter needs changing (done)
Air Con operating below spec.
Brake fluid change due

Are brake hoses a diy job?

He said that my gear box oil needs changing, I reminded him that last month he said it was sealed for life!!!

undertray use a twist lock fitting , same as dzus fittings but without the handle , a flat head driver slot is used.
Wheel arch fitting parts of the undertray use a half turn plastic screw , its a two part fitting the nut part is specific to the screw fitting , same with the dzus type screw ,part of a two piece fitting.
