Plastic L shape gearbox locking for gear shifter

On the gearbox there is a L shape plastic locking pin that pushes in to lock shifter for adjustment purposes

Basically

Mines snapped. The end, which is obviously into the box.

Has anyone had this before?

There's loads of stuff about it snapping with us/Canadians
But they don't say if they removed it or just left it in gearbox to get crushed lol

It's a hardened plastic pin.

I'll be draining box and hopefully it comes out with oil but just wondering what happened to others?

Really, jees that's not good, 1st time heard of this tbh, I would remove it if possible.

it must be at the bottom of the box in the oil, or it came out with the shifter mech.

Ill be draining oil next week anyway. Just hoping for a little bit of luck really haha. It must be only very small eg 5mm max.

Where is the best place to fill the box up from???
