Hi all,

Seen as though we have our week of hot weather and my Aircon has been playing up I thought I'd get it regassed as I thought that's what was the issue (warm air intermittently)

Finished the regas and the mechanic noticed the engine fans weren't running. Done a scan, no faults and can't get fans to run on output test.

Looking around most faults are to do with fans staying on. Mines the opposite. Does anyone know if mine would have a separate control module or would it be housed in the fans?

The car's a 2007(57) 2.0 TDi (BMN)

Thanks,
Dave.

Have you tried physically putting power to the fan to prove the motor in the fan hasn't gone? I would try to power them up from the fuse box (if possible) as then if they do work you have proved the motor is ok and that the wiring from the fuse box to the fan is ok

I'm not sure its as simple as that, the controller gets power but also requires a signal to tell the fans what speed to go using a PWM, just need to locate the controller.
