brought my first s3 today and already have slight issue..don't think it's anything major but thought idol aks around anyways...

Was driving car back from Newcastle after purchase and started off amazing loved every second of it,but after few hours into the journey I came on along straight so thought I'd test out the power..while accelerating it started juddering between 2-4k revs and then engine light started flashing at me :/ ever since then the light has stayed on even tho doesn't always judder when accelerating

Now I'm no mechanic but I thought may have either been coulda I,spark plugs or fuel injectors...it's going into garage first thing in morning but be easier if can tell them check certain area out

I got a similar problem on my 2.0 tdi it does it when at temperature on idle it judders to I Rev it I had a friend look at it and he said it was a injector loom I know s3 are different set up but could be something similar.

Or I could be talking out my backend haha!

Which light?

Could be something as simple as a spark plug or coil pack. Pretty unlucky if It is an injector as they aren't cheap and aren't the simplest to fit.

Ino there are injector loom alone is £140 I think and labour to fit, cars seem to be nothing but trouble...be we all love them :)

Probably a coil pack. Does it judder still on light acceleration? If not then could be something as simple as a spark plug - they don't last much more than 20k, especially if the car has been mapped.

Doesn't really do it on light acceleration more heavy ..don't think car has been mapped either but soon find out

Has coilpack written all over it. Phone Audi, you may get them replaced for free. I did. ;)

Coil pack, and/OR a plug.

my 1.8tfsi did exactly the same the day i picked it up. a quick read of the codes showed misfire cyl 1. Swapped the coil pack from 1 to 4, started it, ran for 100m. new fault code showed misfire cyl 4.

Swapped the coil pack for a new one, job done.

Then it came back 1000miles later. Plug 1 was destroyed......
