New S3 ordered!

Looking superb @batch. Some gorgeous reflections across the rear quarter. Where are those stunning Revo 19' wheels though?

Wrapped up till the end of the month! And I'm going for a refurb in a high gloss finish.

Martyn at MD Autobahn in Horley fitted my new HEL braided brake lines Wednesday, not had a chance to get them working for their money yet but I'm a big fan of upgrading these to improve pedal feel, prevent swelling under extreme driving conditions and prolong performance on a hard blast. Superb quality and excellent value!

Also picked up my REVO wheels from Tom at Diamond Styling in Sevenoaks today, I wanted them refinished in a slightly lighter gunmetal, and high gloss finish. Tom found a perfect gunsmoke grey with plenty of flake that looks amazing in the sun, and the glossy lacquer is perfect! No pics yet as he's just working on a wee little twist for me...

Waiting to see them with interest...

Car's in for a service, had my AudiCam video sent over and the tech was very complimentary about the car - made me very proud but a little worried as he pointed out the brake and suspension upgrades on the video! Oops!

Does anyone have a YouTube channel I could hijack please? Got a couple of videos to put up but for some reason "Channel Creation Interface" won't open on my account?!

Couple of videos for you now I've FINALLY got my YouTube channel working...

Couple of gratuitous spring clean shots...
Gentle wash, followed by a top up of Carbon Collective's "Hybrid" nano-sealant. Superb stuff and so easy to work with!
Wheels were completely contactless washed, Citrus pre-wash and then snow foam doing the job as the wheels are smothered in two healthy coats of CC Platinum Wheels.
I also finally cleaned up the bay which is NOT my thing but a wipe over with a damp drying towel and some trim dressing and it looks good!

Really tempted to go for Glacier again, it's been a joy to maintain and on a bright day you see a lovely flake pop/sparkle. On a dull day you see the grey base pulling through as well!

Well people, most of you will have seen that this is being replaced at the end of Feb by a Golf R wagon in Tornado Red, so my first update in ages on this thread is to say that it’s being put back to (almost) standard and shipped out!
I’ll be swapping the wheels, intake setup, DP and hopefully the MTM unit across to the R, leaving a (VERY) clean and well-specced standard sportback with Eibach springs and HEL brake lines, if anyone is interested please give me a shout as I’d rather see it go to an enthusiast than back to a dealership.

My last note will be to say that we had to make an enforced change of tyres on the RV019s in the week before Xmas, due to the weather being so bad that the Contis, with very low tread, got quite scary. They’ve been brilliant tyres, but the combination of low(ish) tread and severe weather saw them off. Had it been end of March I’d have got another thousand miles I reckon but hey ho!
Switched to Michelin Pilot Sport 4S all round, and whilst I’ve barely driven it due to a leg break, they seem to be seriously good as I was told. Can’t wait to really push them!

So, the Golf arrived a week ago and I’ve already managed to put all the hardware across from the S3 - namely DP/sportcat, intake, DV+, dogbone mount and most noticeably the wheels. I’ve got VWR springs on order - with a month-old little one and it being a leaser I can’t justify coilovers even with the MENTAL discounts on Billies right now!

In other news, does anyone want to buy my one-off, real carbon fibre exhaust tips before I eBay them? Would love them to go to a fellow forum member instead of a stranger!

How much we talking for the tips ?

So, after two months the R looks like this, with a SHARK Stage 2 map and ECU software. I’m NOT disappointed...!

Yep, VWR - superb, with them on and 19s the ride is nicer than the S3 was standard!
Haha, very good! Did you move the MTM over too? That is what you had wasn't it?
Been offered one for the 310hp engine but as mine is the earlier 300 version not sure it'll work
