I'm looking at motor renewals and looking over a quote, I read the paragraph below. I've never noticed this before, I just wondered if it is standard practise in the insurance business or what:

"We will not pay any claim under section 2 - Loss of or Damage to your vehicle
- arising from theft or attempted theft, malicious damage or vandalism unless
your vehicle was in a locked garage at the time of the loss. This cover
restriction will apply: to any loss which happens between 10pm and 6am
when your vehicle is at your home address or any address or any other
address you have told us about and we have accepted."

It's okay, I called today ("you" in fact!) and it turns out that that is a condition for classic car owners who specify that their car will be garaged. I'm much less worried now! And Chris Knott have reduced my renewal by £425!
