HELP NEEDED -Audi A3 2004 Head Unit from Single to Double Din

Hi

Some good old fashioned advice needed please.

I recently bought a Audi A3 2004. It has a single din radio installed and i want to upgrade it. I would like to put a double din aftermarket stereo in but would like it if someone could list all the things im going to need.

I understand that i am going to have to trim the Climate Control Unit which sounds scary lol. Any alternatives?

Thanks for that mate. I have managed to get the cage buttons and Fascia's for £60 from a breaker. Only thing i will need to do is trim the climate control unit. Do you know if that is hard?

No problem mate. It shouldn't be hard, just trim the both sides equally and then use some sand paper to smooth the rough edges.

It's a fairly involved job to do but well worth it.
Just don't get too scared when you see the car fully stripped!

Do I have to take the dashboard off to fit the cage in?
