Revs dropped

Today being one of the hottest days, was driving home and on couple of occasions at standstill the revs drops to around 5k and the cluttered for a few seconds.

Anyone know what might going on?? It wasn't everytime.

You mean 500?Too low for comfort.If it gets worse get it scanned and think about the MAF

I have full vcds will scan. Will maf bring up an engine mgt light??

MAF will only put the EML on if it has become intermittent or shorted to ground, so you really have to do some VCDS logging to see if it's working correctly.
