Can I turn ABS/ESP lights off with VCDS?

Hi,

Is there a way to turn these lights off via VCDS? I've got MOT coming, but have no time for a proper fix at the moment.

Will MOT fail on this?

Any advise would be much appreciated.

Nevermind, I got the ABS sensor today.

It better be it. (according to VCDS it is rear right ABS sensor).

So it was not a sensor, the lights are still on.

What else could it be?

Can be dirt or rust logged between the sensor. Mines was because of the wheel bearing being snapped

This doesn't seem to be fixable.

The bearing is fine.

I think I'm going to bypass both LEDs and connect them to something like engine light which goes off at the same time as ESP. ESP/ABS will come back on the board as soon as I start driving.

Just last question: can this be done via VCDS before I take it apart?

Check out my thread in the B6 section, had the same issue. Ended up being the ABS module. Had it repaired by BBA reman but in the end I needed a refurbished module, £550!

You know when the ABS light is on the ABS isn't active, so I would get it fixed pronto.
