Hi all. I had my car remapped from the standard 143bhp and 320nm torque to approximately 180bhp and 400nm torque and I'm getting clutch slip in 4th, 5th and 6th. It's not all that surprising because the car has done 80k on the original clutch which I suspect could be on its way out anyway as I did have a few slips before the remap.
Anyway what I want to know is if I have the clutch and flywheel replaced with the standard Audi OEM parts will this cure my slip problems, i.e. will the new clutch be strong enough to hold with the remapped power?

I've only ever had a petrol Golf GTi remapped in the past and I didn't get any clutch problems at all and I've tried to find out how much power/torque the standard clutch on my Audi A4 will take but I can't find anything to say the standard clutch will be fine or otherwise.

Any experience or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Get yourself a luk clutch and flywheel kit and you will be fine after that mate. A new clutch and flywheel will hold the remap and pressure fine.

Thanks ruairi83, that was just the info I wanted.
I had thought at one point that I might have to look at going down the path of an uprated clutch etc.. but if the standard luk one will do the job I will get on to my local VW/Audi specialist and ask them about fitting a full clutch kit.
Out of interest what is the difference between a luk clutch kit and a sachs clutch kit or is it just price?

There is no difference mate. I've bought a luk one in a saches box and a saches one in luk box. FitteD both to old a4s and both quality bits of kit.
