a3 quattro question

Hi guys and girls, just a quick question I purchased a audi a3 1.8t quattro last August car has been brilliant, but it's a 5 speed and when I've looked it up it says should be a 6 speed?, any help would be appreciated, it's a 2000 plate

A3 quattro's came in both 5 and 6 speed variants

Ok that's good news then I thought I'd have to have it changed to 6 speed, cheers

I assume you have a 5 speed gear knob?

You could fit a six speed gearknob

i got a five speed quattro, 2000 plate, but mine has a R gear i can only assume it stands for race

Lool yeah its 5 speed gear knob, could put a 6 on it but I'd be wondering why it's not working lol
