So after speaking to antowens who modded his front s-line grills I thought I would give it a go before I receive my s4 grill from precision upgrades (see Honeycomb Grill sticky)
I purchased some honeycomb mesh from ebay. The passenger grill was easier as it has a blanking plate on the back that just unclips. I used the plate as a template and cut the mesh slightly larger with some tin snips. Then using 3 tie wraps I attached the grill to the reverse and bent the mesh around the grill cutting off any access.
I then stuck it all down with this found on ebay:
AUTOMOTIVE AMAZING GOOP CONTACT ADHESIVE PERMANENT BOND WITH FLEX (WATERPOOF)
Left it for 24 hours and put back on the car.
Drivers side was a little more tricky as you have to remove the back with a dremel or similar, rest of procedure was the same.
Picture shows passenger side.
