12v Power Socket - A3 Saloon

So for the first time I tried to use the 12v socket in rear of the car for my daughters DVD player and got no power from it. I even tried the cigarette lighter in the front - nothing. Anyone else had an issue with this? The light round the side is lit but no power is received from it (engine running).

Am I missing something stupid?

Yeah, pushed it all the way in. Engine is running. I tried the DVD player in my wifes car, charged instantly. Looks like a wee trip to the garage!

Tried mine for the first time after reading your post and all 3 work - Front / Rear / Boot.

On one of the gadgets I tried, the plug was quite a loose fit and the slightest wiggle would turn the power off to the gadget.
Tried another gadget and the other plug went in nice and solid and worked fine.

Didn't seem to be any unnecessary or unusual "force" to insert the plug.

Can you try another gadget to see whether it's just the plug and not the car.
Would seem odd for all 3 not to work ??

Have you checked the fuses?
