What have you done to your 8V today?

Mine is off to Nigel at Glos Detailing today for a much needed spruce up whilst I prepare for a week of jump racing, the best week of the year for me.

Emtied my S3 today since I won't be driving it for a couple of days after the engine/gearbox stuttered and wouldn't start again after I pulled the car over.

A couple of pics from yesterday and one of the (at least) fine courtesy car I got - A5 190bhp s-tronic.

I believe you can get them custom made with seat heaters if you contact Braum directly. Bought them on Amazon.

I see. What about import taxes since they're from the States? (Don't know if you have that in UK).

Didn't noticed you're from San Francisco, my bad
No worries, give them a dm on Instagram or FB and they can help you get a pair. Very comfortable and the bolsters definitely hold you so much better than the oem sport seats.

What mm do they lower it by? All good with mag ride?

Nightmare of a day today
had these fitted but with spacers 19s would not clear the calipers. I have ended up purchasing some 20s which will be collected tomorrow so completely new wheels which weren’t anticipated

Drop I’m unsure of I would say 25mm or so. Works prefect with magride, I am going to get the magride recalibrated when I get chance following 4 wheel laser alignment.

Rolled over a milestone. Eerie coincidence that it happened on my tenth wedding anniversary at that.

Finally fitted the Rieger diffuser...pig of a job going in blind, but can be simplified for others now I know the procedure. Start to finish was 3.5 hours single handed! Jack and axle stands are a must for those contemplating this mod.

This is the only pic I can upload as the others are too big, but will do a write up and add more when I get a bit of free time. Personally I think it looks awesome, and now (finally) all exterior body trim is gloss black. Annoying that despite ordering the black pack, the OEM diffuser was a horrible grey plastic.

Front splitter from Maxton arrives tomorrow, time for the front end to get some aggression!

Was it a bumper off job? I'm looking to get the Reiger diffuser soon and will like to do it myself if i can. Are you based in the UK? Or is your car an S3 because the exhaust tip looks different to ours?

Fitted some RS3 vent rings.
Tonight I am going to finish my 3d CAD model of tge S-Tronic paddle extensions and have them made in brushes aluminium.

Are the paddles your own design or a copy? I ordered some off of ebay but sent them back as they looked a bit OTT.

No the bumper stayed on, it acts as a bit of resistance when tugging at the diffuser. Car is a UK 2015 S3...be careful when ordering from Rieger as they have a few different options - pre or post facelift / twin tip A3 / quad tip S3 / oval tip RS3 etc. I actually picked mine up from a UK based ebay seller, but it got delivered direct from Germany.

The job sounds simple (he says!) - there are essentially two parts that make up the stock diffuser - the part itself and the gloss black trim above. Looking from underneath the car at the inside of the OEM diffuser there are around 10 T25 torx screws that separate these parts. The extreme corners of the diffuser will have to be popped from the bumper to access the last 4 (2 on each side). Once off its pretty east to pull off the black trim, which in turn will give you a lot more access to the larger clips that hold the main diffuser section on the bumper. Then its just a case of strength, belief, patience, and a good vocabulary of swear words.

I'll try and sort more pics out, but if anyone needs more info just give us a shout.

They will be my own design and similar to the Alfa Romeo Giulia paddles attached.
My brother-in-law has the Giulia QV so I have taken measurements from those, they will look very similar in brushed Aluminium too.

They ain't RS3 Vent rings,so do these slip over the existing gloss black ones ? Plus the OEM rings have a matt black mechanism for opening and closing

I had a set of these in red, soon went pink after one summer in the sun though. Took them off and now much prefer the dash without them. Nice and cheap for those wanting to experiment though.

Awesome seats! Did you solve the problem with the airbag connection? Resistor? Coding?

Yes, I found something on Ebay a SRS emulator that worked, however, I just got the OHM resistor that allows me to do multiple values, so I'll report back/make a write up of the process when I figure out what it is exactly.

Is the Audi-Sport surround the new one?
Not a fan of the chrome, it looks cheap and like something from Motor-World/Halfords.

Understand what you mean, most of the chrome surrounds are painted ABS which flakes off after a while, went for a stainless steel version, and less showy than the Audi Sport surround IMHO
