TTE370 Upgrade Performance Turbocharger Stages VAG 1.8T

Introducing our second K04-064 turbocharger stage for the 1.8T platform.

TTE370 for the 1.8T begins as a brand new standard BorgWarner K04-064 turbocharger taken from the 2.0tfsi platform, we dismantle and then set about upgrading and optimizing as engineers to create a K04 TFSI hybrid for the 1.8T VAG platform. More power, no loss in response with durability at higher boost. This upgrade turbo shares same spec as our TTE400 for the 2.0TFSI. No spacer plate is required for fitment.

Engineered & Enhanced

To construct a TTE370 we ditch the original compressor and employ a larger and more efficient forged billet wheel with extended tip tech and we clip the original K04 turbine. We CNC mill the compressor cover to optimum to match the new compressor profile. TTE CNC modify the turbo discharge silencer, removing the baffle internals and fitting a new straight through section, removing any restriction and its function as a noise cancelling device, and so improving the flow, giving less surge and enhancing the sound. The clipping of the K04 turbine is a special TTE grinding process to the turbine blade tips. Curved to alleviate stress from process. Clipping reduces blade area thus increasing gas flow and so reducing back pressure and lowering exhaust gas temperatures, allowing safer higher boost level’s. This process also gives a secondary advantage of removing some material, lightening the turbine thus reducing rotational mass improving moment of inertia. We fit our TTE CNC silencer delete, we modify the turbo discharge silencer, removing the baffle internals and fitting a new straight through section, removing any restriction and its function as a noise cancelling device, and so improving the flow, giving less surge and enhancing the sound.

The original bearing is replaced for a High-performance BorgWarner motor sport 360 deg thrust bearing. Durable at high loads with no loss in transient response.

Actuator used is uprated sprung OE unit, fitted with our stainless steel reinforced clamps and hardware for trouble-free operation. This also can also be modified/set to customer needs and specifications if required.

Equilibrium

Precisely balancing our turbochargers is a key critical factor to become a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequent great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieving our balance standards. Firstly parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2800RPM in multiple planes using our single parts machine, then components are assembled and then the CHRA are dynamically balanced, but this time depending on application at up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using our in house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate equilibrium, to a standard far higher than OEM. Each turbocharger is supplied with serial numbered balance test result document.

Reconditioning price shown is based on overhauling and reconditioning, upgrading a undamaged used turbocharger within specification. Only once cleaned and dismantled, inspected then a firm price be made.

Not as plug and play no but like anything can be made too. Company like AKStuning.co.uk could easliy supply, fit and make the adaptions if wanted.
 
Can the silencer section be removed and a downward facing ko4 023 type exit be welded on to aid longitudinal fitment. Would this be something you could offer.
 
Problem is id want a car to set correctly
 
Something like B7 tfsi Ko4 upgrade on the CTS website. Although their outlet seems to be angled back slightly.
Hiflow cat with a ko4064 flange and it would almost be plug and play.
