Ok guys this one doesn't apply to my 2.8 but i thought i'd ask regardless.

Stating the obvious, Audi test their vehicles and i suspect it's long and vigorous too. So if you remap your engine surely having not been designed for it, over time your going to wear it out quicker, correct? And i'm guessing also that using standard brakes on a remapped 1.8T pushing over 200hp are less effective. What other considerations are there when making performance mods? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/MexWave.gif

but well built and designed engines like the 1.8t are fundementally capable of significantly higher output without internal modification.
but yes fundementally if you stick on a GT40 turbo running maasive boost you will have a shorter life span (you and the car!)
brakes and suspension should be addressed before you hike power, you can get a slow car going faster round a track with decent suspension and brake mods
