Click sound from gear lever

My Audi A6 2.0 tdi Auto MultiTronic is making a "click" sound when im stationary and press on the brake pedal. This happens everytime i press on the brake pedal. Seems like its coming from just below the gear lever. It is hard sometimes to get it out from P. Any ideas?

I remember a mechanic said to me that the flywheel was on its way out as he heared a weird noise when the car starts sometimes. Dont know if its related.

It's the lockout solenoid (or whatever the correct name for it is), it's meant to make that noise. Can't help re the difficult shift however
