Hi guys,
Just moved to North East London (Woodford), I've had the chattering alternator pulley problem for a while now and have taken it to one or two garages and they've all told me they'll check the cam belt tensioner first when I hand the car in, showing they're not totally aware of this issue.
I don't want them to waste labour time on something where I'm almost 100% sure it's the pulley that's making the noise. The problem is getting noticeably worse and I'm scared its going to go pop soon and I'll be really screwed.
So my question is if anyone knows a garage around the Woodford/Walthamstow/Buckhurst Hill/Chigwell area that is aware of this problem and can sort it more or less without any hassle? I'm new to the area so haven't been able to scope out many garages yet as I'm working long hours in a new job.
