Tax Disc Holder?

Hey,
silly question really, but it's been bugging me for a while. I have a 2001 A3TS, and it has a weird tax disc holder type thing (black plastic), which has a cable running out of the bottom of it leading in behind the dashboard. Is this part of the alarm, or an aerial for the Nokia phone kit or what? Not important, just wondering what it was. Anyone know what its for? Cheers

Sounds to me like it's the aerial for the phone kit mate, I've seen this used on other kits before.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ok.gif

Yeah it does sound like a car kit. Normally found on estates where aerials aren't that easy to fit.
