Hi all

I have an intermittent issue with my A4 B8 2009 3.0 TDI Quattro. Occasionally the engine management light will come on and throw two error codes. I clear the codes and they stay gone for say a week or two and then come back again. Or sometimes after I clear them they come back after a day?

Have read the codes and they are as follows

5301 - Throttle Actuator Control Circuit
P2100 00 [101] - Open
Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 00000001
Fault Priority: 2
Fault Frequency: 3
Mileage: 205550 km
Date: 2014.05.04
Time: 16:45:52

5307 - Throttle Valve Actuator Control System
P2101 00 [032] - Malfunction
Intermittent - Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 00000001
Fault Priority: 2
Fault Frequency: 1
Mileage: 205550 km
Date: 2014.05.04
Time: 16:45:21

Now I suspected it might be the throttle actuator which I believe is at the back of the engine and has a little bar that connects to the turbo. However I have swapped this out for a known working one and still the code has come back.

Has anybody ever had an experience with this code or any thoughts? A Google search seems to bring up mainly the 2.o TDI

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi, I know this is old. But did you find the problem?
I have the same thing... and looking for ideas of how to solve.

Thanks

Mike
