Cheap Coilovers

The Golf 4 FWD kit will fit the A3 8L FWD kit and no specialist tools are needed, it's pretty much a straight suspension swap and then you just alter the height to suit.

Cheers DPM. So car stands and sockets is pretty much all I'll need?

Hi Guys,

Looking at getting some cheap coilovers for my 1999 Audi A3 fwd.

I was just wondering if these will fit?

Coilover VW Golf MK4 1 8T Turbo Adjustable Suspension Coilovers | eBay

Or if someone knows a place to get better ones for a similar price. Please note I live in Australia so shipping is a bit of an issue for me.

Cheers

i had joms on my a3 fwd! they were great for what i paid for them. £180 not too sure what that is for you! but its cheap for what they are!

180 is pretty much what I'd like to be spending. Where can you purchase joms coilovers?

they are on the uk ebay site. im sure that you could arrange for them to be sent over to you though

Awesome thanks Joe. I'll have a look when I'm around a computer

That's fine gaz, it's my daily I just want adjustable ride height. It's no track car and I realise that

Could anyone that knows anything about suspension chip in and give their opinion as to what appears to be the best value for money. I know build quality will come into it but given the specs and price what would you purchase?

Not the A4 kit in the first link!!

Good to hear!

i never had a problem with my joms and had them down as far as they would go (static all the way). But i had that A3 for low's and not go's! hope you get them for the price you wanted them for!

keep us posted when they are fitted too!!

I have JOM's on my A3 1.8T FWD and they're brilliant. I picked them up for £75 nearly new and the ride quality is ALOT smoother compared to the Jamex ones I had on my previous A3. I'd say definitely go for it, you won't be disappointed . Not hard to fit either, hardest part is removing the 15 year old nuts and bolts from the original suspension.
