Electric folding mirrors close with key?

Hi all, my new B7 has electric folding mirrors but you have to do it using the control inside the car.
can it be programmed via vcds to open and close when the car is unlocked/locked?

also who has vcds in west midlands, want to see what else I can do to the car.

I think you used to be able to do this on the mercs, but they stopped it due to to many broken wires etc from repeated use

You're not the first person to ask this

It cannot be coded via VCDS on the B7 as there is no control module for it. It requires additional wiring (hand-made) and some diodes from memory. There is a guide somewhere, possibly on audizine...
