Dangerous ACC

Personally I feel ACC allows me to concentrate on more peripheral observation. If I don't need to concentrate as much on the car in front I can concentrate more on pavements, side roads, behind, etc. On the motorway I can spend more time looking far ahead. If I spot a cascade of brake lights in the distance I'll intervene and reduce my speed in anticipation.

I also think I speed less since I got ACC, and without having to keep looking down at my speedo.
