So I went to the Geneva Motor Show over a couple of days, an early start at 430am on Tuesday morning, drove to Luton for my 8am flight which landed @1030 local time, 1hour ahead. The event is a 10 minute walk from the airport, so very convenient, and entry to the event is only 16 swiss francs(around 11 quid!) - bargain!! Food and drinks are damn expensive though! lol
The event itself is all very upmarket, so a lot of very rich people about, and we had zero chance of getting into the hospitality suites(I tried with my Audi carkey), it was all VIP only. It was much easier at the NEC and Goodwood festival of speed anyways. The Audi stand was particularly busy, so I hardly took any pics, but they all sported chrome rims for some reason, which I felt was odd, are they even available in chrome finish in the EU?
Stayed over in a posh hotel in central Geneva, which was expensive aswell, but I went halves with a mate, so wasn't too bad in the end. Good couple of days at the show, lots to see, and good experience overall, I now have a couple of dead legs from all the walking!
Couple of pics I took below.
Original Herbie Beetle from The Love Bug.
McLaren P1, which was one of the main reasons I went, as I'm not likely to see one in motion on the road, it's a lot smaller than I thought, but very awesome in the metal!
There was a modified one with a load of carbon parts and carbon wheels!
Another car with carbon wheels!
Koenigsegg One:1 - 1340bhp:1340KG
Pagani Zonda Revolucion, carbon fibre work of art!
Bugatti Veyron
R8 V10 Roadster with Chrome rims
