whats needed for a GT2052 turbo to fit an AFN?

Not sure its a great idea. Its a fairly big turbo and will end up very laggy.

I'd stick to the BV43. Its bolt on bar a small amount of pipework, will make decent power and will still leave you a nice drivable car.

Look at the two power graphs that I messaged you. The gt2052 will work just fine making as much power and torque than the 110bhp asv tdi engine early in the rev range and more up top end as well. My engine is AHU and I needed a dark side developments rear right engine mount, a think it's an AFN exhaust manifold that I have with a adapter plate to join the hotside to the manifold. Use a 150 bhp hotside and a 180bhp coldside to make it work.

Pahaha I read this earlier and never even noticed! Anyone know what rpm this turbo would come on boost and what bhp it can make on a 1.9tdi? I presume it will be a bit laggy on a smaller engine but no idea.

I'll need to go on the laptop to find my power graph from my tuned 110 bhp asv tdi mk1 Leon but this is my friends alh tdi with a 150bhp v6 tdi hotside mated to a 180bhp tdi v6 cold side.

My leon dyno run only starts from 2200 rpm which is a shame but at 2200 rpm the alh engine is reading 100 bhp and 275 lb ft, 2500 rpm reads 130 bhp and 325 lb ft, 3000 rpm reads 180/185 bhp and 360lb ft. The tuned 110bhp asv tdi reads 90/95 bhp and 225 lb ft at 2200 rpm, 2500rpm reads 130 bhp and 275 lb ft, 3000rpm reads 156 bhp and 275 lb ft. Two different dynos so variations will apply but my bum dyno has been in both and concurs with the plots.
