Cup holder retrofit?

Shouldn't be too hard should it? Can't find much information about it. I have bought one from a facelift S3, which I intend to place in the dash beside the hazard switch, where I currently have two button blanks.

Not sure how I take those out. Anyone aware of a decent guide?

It's a lot of hassle in a pre-facelift. I would rather fit an armrest and buy the cup holder insert for the armrest.

doesnt look too complicated, just time consuming, might pop to my local scrappy and see if i can get some bits, how easy is it to fit an armrest?
