My dads abit down about the rear differential issue thats not getting fixed until the 16th november, so thought id cheer him up by flatting all the scratches out, compounding, swirl removing, 2 coats of wax and sealed her up for the winter. He was astonished at the outcome and is very happy again!

Heres some pics, hope you like!

I feel mainly responsible coz i talked him into buying an A4 so i thought id just give him a boost lol! Plus its free advertising for me so its a win win situation. Looks better than mine im gutted haha!

Hey Craigcull,

Nice work on the Audi, black audis always come up great , whats that filthy red car in the backround ?

Just off the record you mentioned about the rear diff. What was the verdict with the diff. I recall from a few posts ago but cant remember what actually is the outcome.

Haha! We're not 100 % sure yet mate, but we think its a bearing in the diff thats on its way out. Its fine from cold but when its warm it tends to thud under load. Ill let you know the outcome

Very nice!

I give my red cab a once over with the buffer but I can never get rid of the swirl marks, It just looks clean and shiney for a few days but the swirls still remain

What products do you use?

Could this be where I'm going wrong?
Halfords | Halfords 240 Volt Car Polisher

Also, I'm using mequires polish and wax

Cheers, James

How come all my lad does is come home from Uni and ask for more money and eat his way through the contents of the fridge ?!
Looks sweet

In 4 hours you.... flat back clear coat blemishes/scratches/swirls, polished and sealed??

On customers cars and my own it normally takes me 1 hour per panel on average!

looks good though mate.

Good work, nice colour too...good to see another black 3.0 TDI is it an Auto?? and whats the spec

We cane to the agreement that we wouldnt go mental with black clouds around us and various panels requiring paint. So we decided we would just make it look good to the untrained eye, then im going to paint the full front end coz its peppered with stonechips and paint a couple of other bits. After that i will flat and polish the full car and give it some serious treatment. I could have spent ages on it but unfortunately the weather wasnt on our side.

I think one day i would have come home from college, raided the fridge and sat on my **** for the foreseable, so there is still hope haha!

Its a nice metallic blue, manual, full leather, electric more or less everything, heated seats, folding mirrors, satnav front and rear parking sensors. Its the 233bhp model aswell. Nice car, pulls like a train and being the steady driver he is, hes getting 58mpg, 600 miles to £60! I cant believe it! Im lucky if i see 140 miles to £40 lol
