2000 golf gti HELP!!!!

Hi all hope someone can help on this problem I have. I've not long brought this car and have had an error come up on the vag com, fault code P0170 fuel bank 1 maulfunction. I've changed the MAF and had the rest of the car checked pipes oxygen sensor, coil packs etc, and no joy. I also have had to change the oil pick up as it keeps generating this hard black s*** in the oil could be carbon but not sure, I think maybe these two problems are connected. Has anyone had this problem or know of someone that has.

How have you checked the lambda? It sounded to me straight away to be the lambda, then I found this:
