Hi all
After years and years of Ford/Vauxhall I have finally upgraded and am now the proud owner of a 2011 A3 1.8 TFSI Ambition S-Line. Ive only had it for a week and unfortunately work stops me using it as much as I want right now. Being a newbie I do of course have many questions and I will appologise up front if they are in the wrong part of the forum but I am still learning my way round.
Here goes then.

First of all I live in France but bought the car in Germany. Not a problem getting all of the paperwork sorted but I received a wallet from the dealer with all of the Audi manuals (A3, Servicing schedule, Concert radio and Audi Service) and they are all in French or German so I would like to get a copy of them all in English. I have written to Audi UK 3 times now but they havent replied and I have also been back to the dealer in Germany. He has told me he will try and get a set for me but not to expect them anytime soon. Does anybody know where i could get a set from?

I want to fit a removable tow bar and also have a 2 bike rack fitting as an option as well. Does anyone know the best place to order these from? Ebay isnt really an option for me as I live in France and work in Switzerland and dont have a UK address. Ebay cant handle that.

Lastly (for now) I want to upgrade the Concert Head unit. I really need to be able to view and control my ipod contents from the head unit. I dont know what i want yet I am still looking at RNS e or Pioneer ( I like the look of the Pioneer as it has visual reversing/parking indication) or Kenwood. I would be interested in anyones opinions on this, and the other questions i have.

Seems like a good friendly forum by the way.

Thanks all.

Welcome to the site.

If you prefer oem, then mk2 rns with ami which will give you artist, album & track info & control on the head unit if the best setup.

Where abouts in Switzerland mate as I also live part time in Italy, if I'm there soon then could maybe of met up & supplied/fitted the gear for you :)

Thanks for the reply NHN

I have no preference at the moment to OEM or 3rd party. From what I see the OEM gives you less functionality for more money but I am still new to Audi so still learning. What would you advise?

Im at the other end of Switzerland. On the Swiss/French/German border in Basel. But Switzerland isnt that big. What would the price of the OEM gear and fitting be if you were to do it. Could you also do the towbar/bike rack at the same time or do you specialise in the entertainment field.

Thanks

Buona Sera :)

OEM kit works with all other systems perfecly ok & looks the part as such, for what you want it would be perfectly fine.

Well I could supply/fit all the towbar kit for you yeah, I may be going to Germany soon anyway to pickup some seats lol.

PM me for prices mate.

I have been through Basel number of times on route to Venezia, Federer's home town, you been to the tournament at all?

Always love driving through the lakes as such, summer is amazing.

Not been to the tournament but keep up with it on the telly. I have bumped into Federer in a pub in Basel before but I think he is way to big to pop out for a beer now without getting mobbed. We live just over the border from Basel in France. I will PM you now.

Cheers.
