Accelerator pedal only going 1/4 of the way down

Hey guys, jumped in my car this morning started it up ready to move but the accelerator pedal only goes a quarter of the way down. I checked there is nothing jammed behind it. it still drives fine but obv dont have hard acceleration just a gradual build up of speed.
Any suggestions to what it may be?

Spot on. I have had lease cars coming into my workshop at work with this, and its always half a brick under the pedal.

DSG or manual?

DSG has a kick down sprung loaded button as such, this could get stuck, but doubtful tbh.

Could be a stone in the mechanism, ideally need to remove it & check under pedal, have you got a torch to have a look.
