hi all, am new here and this is my first thread. picked my a3 1.8t up 2 weeks ago and am very happy with it. really nice interior. tatty bodywork but am a painter by trade and will be sorted in the near future. a few problems i found where a rear wheel bearing wich was sorted quickly. the water temp meter stopped working all of a sudon and the heater does not get very hot inside. but believe its the temp sensor in the top rad hose and probaly a dodgy thermostat. but the thing thats got me most bugged is the speedo clock. iv see other a3s with the center rectangle bit illuminated with things light door open and mpg. mine is just blank. no light at all. been through the fuse box with a multimeter and no dead fuses. im wondering if its one of those spec options from factory or something a bit more serious. has anybody had any issue like this?
