power steering problems

hi people

Can any one help!!! my car has been jacked up in our garage for a week with front wheels of the floor,during the week I had a full service,cambelt and water pump and replaced nsf hub bearing.Pushed it out and started it abs light on and steering light (RED)drove it and abs light self checked and went out. But red light remians on!! have had it scanned and fault reads power steering assist short circuit to ground large maxi fuse ok as is the smaller blade fuse have out put from fuse box but have not stripped it any further yet.....

Try to just reset the steering angle sensor... Full lock the steering wheel to the left and hold for 2 seconds, then full lock to the right and hold again, Then return to centre.
if the light does not go out then you may need someone with VCDS to reset the abs and steering angle sensor by performing a basic settings reset
