Interior fans not working (climate control)

Hi guys

I've got a '97 TDi 110 with climate control and the interior fans have suddenly decided to stop working. The climate control panel works fine and I can hear the flaps moving when I change it from windscreen/interior etc. Sometimes the fans will start to work when I'm doing motorway speeds and they work perfectly from then on until I turn the car off again.

Any ideas what the issue could be? I'm looking to sell the car soon so would like to get this sorted asap if possible.

it'll be the motor itself mate. brushes will be worn, too worn to start itself turning. but it'll work on the motorway as when your doing 70 theres enuf air flowing thru the fan to actually turn it without needing power which starts the motor working when you actually switch it on.
very easy to change the unit.
