You are correct, I had mine removed and found the reason I had problems with it in the first place (injectors) so I had this resolved, I also had my turbo taken apart and cleaned to make sure that was still 100% and was not part of the problem. So I'd say yes get the DPF removed as it will resolve issues and make the car a lot more enjoyable to drive.

But as mentioned above do address what's causing the issue to begin with.
Hopefully mine is sorted now! When injectors were first done they weren't sealed correctly. Audi did correct this by replacing seals and my oil level is now fine and not rising. Still think this is what ruined my dpf. Audi have checked the car and said its all fine my dpf has just come to the end of its life and still working but regen more frequent. Been on a good run today and no problems as of yet probably coz I've been up and down the motorway. Think it will be going to unicorn in Stockport for the removel. What was the problem with your injectors?
