revo stage 1 map - advice

has anyone had one of these on a 1.8t quattro im looking into one and i spoke o a couple people and they say revo are crap (apparently) as far as i was aware they specialise in audi / vw , i been told the map is way to aggresive for the car and i stops it reving properly ???

anyone able to help ?

i had it on my mk4 1.8t.. total transformation. car pulled so well through-out the rev range in every gear.
If i map the S3 it will be revo i go for

ive also been told i should add a BOV to go with the remap but i dont like the idea of my car constantly going "psssssttttttt" will adding one make a difference ? i looked at the forge 007 and apparently thats a quiet one

I had the revo stage one, and got the Forge DV008 valve at the same time (it's not a BOV it's a diverter/recirc. valve). "Pshhh" is very, very quiet, barely noticeable.

It's the only map I've ever had on a car, so can't really compare to others. I'm really happy with the results though.

If its a generic map then it can go one way or another as no engine runs the same

If its a custom map then it is tuned to the car on a rolling road and you can have it tuned to how you want if you want balls out power that's what you can get or if you want a nice feed of power they can do that too

the best remap by far is any custom map set up to the car on a rolling road with a really nice smooth power curve

Yes, revo stage 1 can be very aggressive. And the torque and power can tail of pretty quick. But our little turbos ain't designed to rev.

Revo is very respectable. And can be tweeked with sps.

I'm getting stage 1 tomorrow and can't wait for the extra grunt.

Nothing wrong with Revo, I've had stage 1 on 3 different VAG 1.8T's without any issues. The OEM DV is absolutely fine with Revo stage 1, in fact I found it to be smoother power delivery than the Forge 007p.
