Inverness-Drumnadrochit-Invermoriston-Dundreggan-Eilean Donan Castle-Stromeferry-Strathcarron Station-Lochcarron-Applecross-Fearnmore-Shieldaig-Torridon-Gairloch-Inverewe Garden-Gruinard Bay-Ardessie-Garve-Contin-Strathpeffer-Moniack Castle-Reelig Glen-Inverness.

Shores of the Loch Ness.. to Wester Ross for some fish... stunning route.
 
A686/B6277 from Haydon Bridge to Barnard Castle via Alston and Middleton-on-Tees is easily my favourite road (just outside Newcastle/Hexham). No pics as you're always 'on it' and wouldn't dream of stopping

Used to do it for work and had a Transit Connect off the floor a few times, chased down bikers and only got overtaken by a white-haired guy in an R34 Skyline (what a guy!). Took my mk2 Escort round and the noise bouncing off the hills added to the occasion.

It's the UK's Stelvio Pass. Seriously, try it.
